Thank you once again for all of the support that has been shown over the past year for the PTA.

changes in positions held and to plan for the new academic year.

Wendy Jordan returned from Australia, but due to her commitments outside of the school I took

on the role as chair of the PTA for the past year. It has been a very busy but very rewarding year

and has opened my eyes to how much the PTA contributes to the school.

Mr Langridge has invested a great deal of time researching the new material which we have

purchased for the Early Years Foundation Stage outside classroom. This will be laid during the

summer break, thus being ready for the new academic year.

We have actually raised an amazingly good amount of money this year through the summer

and Christmas fairs, the curry night, the school discos and coffee mornings, book sales and the

Yomp.

The purpose of the Milverton PTA is to provide support to the staff and pupils of the school and to

assist in raising funds for extra curricular activities and items needed for the school. We will continue

to encourage the involvement of children, staff and parents in our activities for the betterment

of the school environment and ultimately the children and their enjoyment of the school.

The PTA is continually open to new members so do come along to the next meeting which will

be advertised in September.

My thanks go to all members of the PTA team for all their hard work and commitment from those

who have run events, to the people who have attended and contributed money; all of which

has made this year a great success. I would like to also thank Mr Wilde, Mrs Belmega and Mrs Clemmey for their contribution throughout the year and to Mr Langridge, who has supported and helped us.

On average, the Milverton PTA raises between £8000 and £10000 per annum.

Over the past few years, we have funded the following (items that are asterisked below are

Resurfacing & Painting Playground; Bike Sheds; Books; Annual Teacher Top Up Funds*; Gardening

Equipment & Planting*; Recycling Area installation; Trim Trail; Sit on Train; Tyre Trail; Sports kits;

Bags for Reception*; Discos and School Leavers Party*; Picnic Benches; Gazebo Area; Music

Stands; AV Equipment Main Hall; Staging Main Hall
