Local Links

Milverton is 'a community within a community' and recognises the importance of links with the local community. We are constantly looking to develop new links that will benefit the children and their learning.

We have good links with both Trinity School and North Leamington School and benefit from the support of some of their specialist teachers and specific projects in enriching our curriculum.

We also have many other links with other local groups and organisations.

In 2007 we worked with Holy Trinity Church in supporting their 160 year celebrations - this included children performing in a special schools’ concert and entering work in an art competition.

In recent years we have developed strong links with St Mark's Church. Rev. Ellie Clack  visits the school regularly and leads assemblies. Each year we hold our special Christmas Assembly in St Marks with over 450 people in attendance! In 2009 we held a special Harvest Week in partnership with St Marks. All classes visited the church during the week and took part in workshops and activities led by members of the church.



We have good links with Leamington Tennis and Squash Club and groups of children regularly take part in workshops and competitions.

Each Year children in Year 1 and
Year 5 are involved in the Fire
Services education programme –
this includes a trip to the local
fire station for the Year.

During July 2008 we took part in Warwickshire Artsweek. The children produced some wonderful art work on our chosen theme 'through the window'. The work was showcased in a superb exhibition that was open to the public.

We have developed a good partnership with Action 21 who have supported our Bags of Life Day and Walk to School Day by providing fun workshops and activities for the children.

At Christmas our children visit different local groups and organisations and share their talents providing welcome entertainment. This picture shows our year 5/6 choir singing at Myton Hospice.
